Thank you to Indiana Humanities for making it possible for Indiana author John David Anderson to come to Stephen Foster Elementary and get our students excited about reading and writing. Third, fourth and fifth graders learned four reasons writers write. Sixth grade students participated in a Writer's Workshop led by Mr. Anderson. Thanks again Indiana Humanities for this wonderful opportunity.

Mr. Anderson is a recipient of the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award. The program was made possible by a grant from the Glick Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation.

Welcome Friends & Families

Welcome Back Students!

We look forward to another great school year!

Hello Stephen Foster Families and Students!

I am thrilled as we embark on another year of wonderful teaching and learning opportunities for each student here at Stephen Foster school 67.

Many exciting changes are being implemented. This year we will have a complete middle school consisting of 7th and 8th grade, we will have structured recess time with onsite instruction from Playworks, each student will have consistent online instructional support with Achieve 3000, and the list goes on and on.

I invite you in to meet with me at the Principal Pickett Coffee Chats where you can get firsthand information on our wonderful traditions, as well as the new additions that make Stephen Foster the great community it is.

The students will continue to engage in wonderful learning opportunities and will be given support to achieve in every area, rising to our expectations for their best efforts, academically, behaviorally and socially.

This Parent and Student Handbook will give you information on school requirements, policies and procedures. As you read through it, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any additional questions. Debra Pickett

Principal, Stephen Foster School 67
